Lord help me love you as I ought
Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might

The message in the verse above, is repeated in the new testament. Not only in the book of Matthew but in other books of the new testament. This is an indication that it is important to God.

How can you love God with all you heart, mind and soul? I believe you can do this by seeking to please God in all you do.

You please God, when you obey His commands and do all you are required to do as a christian.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.

The verse above confirms that you express your love for God by obeying His commands.

Pray for grace and strength to do the will of God at all times.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Study the bible to know the commands of the Lord and all He requires of you as a christian.
2. Determine in your heart to show your love for God by obeying His commands

In what you hear
Let this be a sweet sweet song in your ears
