Lord make me an instrument of your peace
Isaiah 43:2
When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walketh through fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle against thee.

The dictionary defines peace as freedom from disturbance or tranquility. It is also a time or period in which there is no war.

Being an instrument of peace as a christian implies that you seek to promote tranquility always among your christian brethren and all those you deal with.

The verse above says God will keep you safe from all the disturbances in your life. Seek to be an instrument of peace wherever you are.

John 14:27
Peace I leave you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you, let not your heart be troubled, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

The verse above describes the kind of peace God gives. The kind of peace that removes fear from your heart and mind even in the midst of trouble.

Pray that God gives you divine peace at all times and uses you to promote peace among your friends and relations
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Think of ways you can promote peace like:
– when you win souls you promote the love of God which keeps people away from violence and crime
– when you testify about what the power of God has done in your life you draw people to God and prevent them from seeking help from spiritualists and the occult which can cause great disturbances in people’s lives.

Almighty God, I praise and adore your holy name. Please make me an instrument of your peace. Amen.
