Lord, make me like you

Psalm 119:125
I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

There is a song that says:
Lord make me like you
Please make me like you
You were a servant
Make me one too
Oh Lord I am willing to do what you say
To make me like you Lord
Make me like you.

Before the famous last supper with His disciples, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet just as a servant would.

The song says Jesus was a servant who served not only His disciples but every man, woman or child who needed His help. His greatest desire was to serve God faithfully no matter what it required.

To be like Jesus, you need to have the attitude of a servant, ready and willing to obey every command from God and serve or help your neighbour(anyone who needed your help)

Ephesians 5:1-2
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

Another important trait or characteristic of Jesus was the great love He exhibited to all mankind by dying to save us all.

To be like Jesus you need to learn to love to your neighbour as yourself.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Pray each day for God to give you the attitude and willingness of a good servant and help you to love your neighbour as yourself.

Prayer
Father in heaven, how I love you, I lift your name in all the earth,may your kingdom be established in our praises, as your people declare your mighty works.
Blessed be the Lord God almighty, who was and is, and is to come. Amen.
