More blessed to give than to receive
Malachi 3:10
Bring in all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be enough room to receive it

According to biblical principles, the more you give, the more you receive as the verse above says.

But according to worldly principles , if you want to get more, you hoard or give less so that your savings will grow.

Which of these principles, would you want to adopt? I prefer to go with biblical principles because the word of God has been tried and tested over the years and it has never failed.

Acts 20:35
I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Jesus repeats this principle in the new testament as well.

Eccelesiastes 11:1 says
Cast your bread upon the waters and you shall find it after many days.

You may not get exactly what you give back but I can assure you from experience that you will receive many blessings, deliverance from bondage, healing and other material things. Never hesitate to give or share what you have with others.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Whenever you receive your salary or allowance as a student, first put 10 percent aside for the church and probably 5 percent or any other amount you can afford to give to the poor and needy.
2. You could give to an orphanage or an agency for the disabled etc.

Father, help me to give freely and willing always. Amen.
