Most High God
Psalm 83:18

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

One way that I will define “high” is being above all else. Referring to God, as being the “Most High God” means God is exceedingly above all other gods.

There are several things in creation and the bible that confirm this.

Who else could have placed marked boundaries for the sea such that it does not overflow and cover the whole earth or land? Only Jehovah God the most High.

Who else could have allowed His beloved and only begotten Son to be killed to save all mankind, and have the ability to raise Him from the dead? Only Jehovah God the Most High.

Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Who else could have given Jesus the name that is above every other name, such that at the mention of the name Jesus all creatures in heaven and on earth will bow and worship Him? Only Jehovah the Most High God.

Lets learn to worship and serve Him as He deserves.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. To be able to worship and serve God as He deserves we need to study the word to understand Him better and pray for a special encounter with Him.

Most High God, thank you for the gift of another week. Help me to worship and serve you as you deserve.
