My heart’s desire is to be holy
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me ……

To be holy means to be sanctified, that is separated unto God.

In the verse above the Psalmist desires to be sanctified and separated unto God. Therefore he prays for God to cleanse his heart and make his spirit willing to do what is right and acceptable in the sight of God.

The bible says in Psalm 51:17 that,
What God requires of us in order to be sanctified is a broken and contrite spirit

Our heart’s desire as christians is to please God, we should repent and turn away from evil deeds and ask God for forgiveness.

1 Peter 1:15-16

………Be holy, as I am holy

This verse from the new testament is a command from God to be holy.

Meaning holiness is not optional for christians, it is compulsory or a requirement every christian must meet

Decide in your heart today to strive to be holy. Ask God for the grace and strength to do this
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Pray for and work towards being holy.
2. Abstain from things that are not right according to biblical principles
