Daily Word 🇬🇭

My Lord and My God!!
Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty and I will say of the Lord He is my refuge and my fortress. My God in Him will I trust

” My Lord and My God”, this declaration made by the Apostle Thomas is the most plain and hearty confession of the true and proper Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the verse above the Psalmist expresses his own confession of the true and proper Deity of the Lord. He says the Lord is His refuge and fortress

Meaning when you constantly dwell in the secret place of the Lord, that is dwell frequently in the presence of the Lord, He becomes your complete source of protection or safety.

Jesus Himself never declared who He was. It was revealed to some people:
– The Apostle Peter said
You are the Christ the Son of the living God( Matthew 16:13-20)
– The Apostle Thomas said
My Lord and My God( John 20:28)
– Blind Bartimeus said
Have mercy upon me Son of the living God( Luke 18:38)

There are other declarations of the true and proper Deity of the Lord in the bible. How has He revealed Himself to you?

John 20:28-29
And Thomas answered and said, My Lord and My God….

This passage from the new testament reveals the Apostle Thomas’ regret or recognition of his folly that he had doubted the resurrection of Christ.

In your dealings with the Lord guard against doubting His true and proper Deity, because of challenges and misfortunes. He is God and He knows what is best for us
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Never doubt the power and Sovereignty of God.

Prayer
Let this hymn be your prayer and confession

Oh Lord My God
When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works thy hands hast made
I see the stars
I hear, the roaring thunder
Thy power throughout
The universe displayed

Then sings my soul
My Saviour God to thee
How great thou art
How great thou art
Then sings my soul
My Savior God to thee
How great, thou art
How great thou art
Amen
