My rock and my shield
Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusteth in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him

The term my rock and my shield refers to the fact that God is our support and protection. We can lean on Him in times of trouble and He will protect us from all attacks .

In the verse above, the Psalmist rejoices in the that fact that when he puts his trust in God ( lean on God for support and protection) he finds help. Therefore, he will praise God at all times.

Psalm 23:4 says
Yeah though, I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Meaning, the Lord our God will protect us from harm, if we put our trust in Him as our rock and shield.

Matthew 6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory

This verse from the new testament reminds us of the fact that God will deliver or save us from evil when we call on Him in prayer. Keep trusting God at all times.
