Not by might nor by power
Zechariah 4:6
The He answered and spake unto me saying, This the word of the Lord unto Zerubabel, saying, Not by might nor by power , but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

According to the verse above, we cannot as humans do much with our own strength and abilities. We need the Spirit of God who is our comforter, helper and teacher ( John 14:16-17, 26)

As you step out into each day pray that the Holy Spirit will direct and guide you in all that you do

Proverbs 3:5-6 says
Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

Ephesians 6 :13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand

This verse from the new testament says we need to put on the whole armour of God to help us withstand the devil’s attacks.

Our weapons of attack and defense include:
– Accepting the gift of salvation
-Studying and applying the word of God
-Praying without ceasing
-Exercising our faith etc(Ephesians 6:10-18)

Let us put on our armour each morning and ask the Holy Spirit to help and direct us in all our endeavors

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Believe and accept the supremacy of God’s power and allow Him to direct you

Meditate on the words of this song

May I know Jesus more and more
