One day He’s coming
Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes

The bible tells us in verses like the one above that Jesus will come again. His coming is foretold in both the old and new testament.

In the old testament, the Prophet Isaiah and Joel talk about it. The first book to the Corinthians and the book of Revelations talk about it in the new testament.

However , the second coming of Christ is not foretold in only the four books mentioned above. There are bits and pieces in other books of the bible.

Matthew 26:41 says
Watch and pray for you know not the hour or the time that Jesus will come back.

Meaning, it is important to prepare physically (maintain a healthy lifestyle so you can be an effective ambassador of Christ) and spiritually ( pray, study the word and do what it says).

Revelations 22:12
And Behold, I come quickly: and my reward is with me to give to every man according as his work shall be.

This verse from the new testament gives another reason why we should prepare for the second coming of Christ. Apart from taking us to dwell with Him in heaven, He will also reward all faithful and dedicated christians.

One day, Christ will come back, never forget or disbelieve this. Pray and work towards it.

1. Watch and pray for His second coming.

One day when heaven was filled with His praises
One day when sin was black as could be
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin
Dwelt among men
My example is He

Living He loved me
Dying He saved me
Buried, He carried
My sin far away
Rising He justified
Freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day.
