Our help is from the Lord
Psalm 121:1-2
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

There is a song I love so much that says:

My help is in the name of the Lord
For the Lord my God is mighty
My help, my help
My help is in the name of the Lord.

This should be the confession and prayer of all Christians. When a christian is in trouble or needs help he/she should not ever consider consulting the occult or the fetish priest (going to the shrine) or any other power.

God should be our first and last point of call. Like the verse says,” lift up your eyes to the Lord”, which is an idiomatic expression for turn to the Lord in prayer.

God made the heavens and the earth and He alone can resolve issues connected to life here on earth perfectly with no unreasonable demands.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

This verse from the new testament explains that if you want all you need to be provided, then seek first the kingdom of heaven or accept the gift of salvation and live to please God.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1.Whenever you are in need, call on the Lord.

Heavenly Father, help me to remember at all times to seek help from you only
