Praise God in spite of your challenging circumstances
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive tree shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat, the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Prophet Habakkuk paints a very gloomy picture of his circumstances, he was still willing to rejoice in the Lord and joy in the God of his salvation. This would involve praising God in spite of his circumstances. Are you willing to do this?
Philippians 4:4 says
Rejoice in the Lord always: again I say, Rejoice.
The verse above also encourages us to rejoice in the Lord always. This implies that we have to praise God in good times and in bad times. Learn to praise God in spite of your circumstances.
God be with you.
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Begin and end each day with songs of praise and thanksgiving.
2. Offer prayers of praise and thanksgiving as well.
3. Praise God more, especially when you are faced with challenges.
Prayer
Dear God, I thank you for the gift of this day. Teach me to rejoice and joy in the God of my salvation always. Amen.
