Prepare for the day of the Lord
Ecclesiastes 11:8
But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all, yet let him remember the day of the darkness (the day of the Lord), for there shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.

The day of the Lord is going to be a very terrible day. Many will be destroyed and many cannot declare their faith or remain faithful to God. We must bear in mind that it will be better to make it in the rapture because it will be very difficult to maintain our faith and confidence in the Lord after that .

Luke 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the son of man.

Like the verse above says we must watch and pray always that we might escape the great and terrible day of the Lord.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Watching and praying always involves praying to ask Your d to prepare you so that you can make it in the rapture.
2. It also means you have to live in expectation that the Lord can come any day.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of another day. Help me prepare adequately for the day of the Lord. Amen.
