Rejoice in the Lord always
Habakkuk 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation

To rejoice is to feel or show great joy or delight. The bible also says that;

……a merry heart does good like medicine (Proverbs 17:22)

Christmas is a time for rejoicing as we remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ which made His death and resurrection possible. The work He did on the cross later on brought us salvation and the hope eternal life to be spent in heaven with God.

As we commemorate the birth of Christ, let’s rejoice and thank God for all His blessings showered on us throughout the year.

Let’s also remember to bless others with gifts that will make them also rejoice and enjoy the season.

Philippians 4:4-5
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand

This verse from the new testament also encourages us to rejoice.

Learn to rejoice in the Lord always, in good times and in bad times.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Remember to share some of the goodies you have prepared for Christmas with the less privileged. Give them also a reason to rejoice.
