Rejoice in the Lord
Habakkuk 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

The verse above comes after one in which the Prophet Habakkuk paints a gloomy picture of his circumstances. In spite everything, he said he will rejoice in the Lord.

There is a very popular Christian song that says:

……am reaping the harvest God promised me
Take back what the devil stole from me
And I rejoice today
For I shall recover it all
And I rejoice today
For I shall recover it all

All christians should have the attitude of the songwriter expressed in the song above.

No matter what you have lost or the pain you feel, rejoice in the fact that the Lord will restore if you trust Him completely

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice

This verse in the new testament is similar to the one from the book of Habakkuk quoted above .

Verse 6-7 of Philippians 4 says we should not worry about anything, commit everything to the Lord and He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding, therefore, rejoice in the Lord always.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and learn to rejoice in the Lord in affliction

Dear Lord, help me to rejoice in you no matter my circumstances
