Remember God when you prosper
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day

To prosper is to gain wealth, success and affluence. The verse above says we should remember God when we prosper because He gave us the power to make wealth.

To remember God is to:
– Acknowledge the fact that God caused you to prosper
-Give God all the glory and honor for your prosperity by testifying to both believers and the unsaved that God enabled you to prosper
– Give your money, time and possessions to promote the gospel and win more souls.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says
In all things give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap

What you do with your wealth and affluence will determine whether God would continue to prosper you or not.

If you use it to promote the gospel, God will continue to bless you but if you use it only for your own selfish gains then you might lose it as the verse in Galatians 6 above says.

Be careful what you do when God prospers you.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Always seek to glorify God in all you do, especially when God gives you prosperity.

To you my Lord
This is my prayer, Oh Lord
Of praise and thanks giving
I just can’t stop, no Lord
Giving you praise
