Rescue the perishing
Proverbs 24:11-12
Rescue the perishing; don’t hesitate to step in and help, if you say, ” Hey, that is none of my business”, will that get you off the hook? Someone is watching you closely, you know – someone is not impressed with weak excuses. ( The Message Bible)

There is a hymn that says:
Rescue the perishing, care for the dying
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave
Weep o’er the erring one
Lift up the falling
Tell the poor wanderer, a Savior has died
Rescue the perishing
Care for the dying
Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

The song highlights all we need to do to rescue the perishing. Do you care enough to sacrifice your time, money, honor and comfort to reach out to present the message of salvation to that poor beggar by the roadside?

This is what God requires us to do.

2 Timothy 4:18
And the Lord shall deliver(rescue) me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen

As you reach out to the poor and under-priviledged as well as the middle class and the rich, God will also deliver you from every evil work the devil plans against you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Do not wait for the government and NGOs alone to rescue street children, disabled beggars, mentally challenged etc. As an individual and as the church we should also develop strategies to help such people by providing their needs and presenting the gospel to them

Prayer
Almighty Father, you are God and there is none like you. Help me to rescue the perishing. Amen.
