Revive us oh Lord
Psalm 80:18
So will not we go back from thee: quicken us ( revive us), and we will call upon thy name.

To revive means to bring back to life or consciousness. To wake or awaken. It also means to restore strength or energy.

There are times when we become battle weary as Christians or get stressed out from resolving so many challenges

John 16:33 says
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation (trouble): but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.

In the verse above, Jesus warned His disciples and all Christians that we will have trouble but we can overcome if we trust Him to revive or help us.

Furthermore, in the verse above, the Psalmist asked God to quicken him, revive him or refresh him. That is what we all have to do when we get stressed out

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

This verse from the new testament assures us that God will refresh us when we spend time in His presence, asking Him to revive us and strengthen us to be the kind of people He wants us to be.

You can find joy and refreshment in the presence of God. Learn to maintain God’s presence in your life by praising, worshipping and thanking Him always.
