Rock of ages
Isaiah 26:4
Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength

Another translation of the verse above says:
Trust ye in Jehovah forever; for Jehovah is an everlasting rock.

Geologists can tell you that there are certain rocks on the planet earth now, that are several thousands of years old.

That is why Jehovah is sometimes referred to as the “rock of ages” or “the everlasting rock”. He has existed for uncountable years and will continue to live forever.

Exodus 3:14 says:
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM ….
Meaning He was, He is and will forever be.

Because He is the rock of ages:
– He is forever available to help us and to provide our needs.
– Like a rock that is solid, He is reliable and you can lean on Him for support in difficult times. He is strong and unbreakable, you will not fall when you lean on Him.
– He will always give us the support we need.

Matthew 7:24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him to a man who built his house on a rock.

As already stated God is as strong and firm as a rock, when you build your life on His principles, no challenge, obstacle or temptation will be too much to bear. You can overcome all the storms of life.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Building your life on the principles and commandments of the Lord is the wisest decision you can make.
