Sanctify yourselves
Joshua 3:5
And Joshua said unto the people, sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you

To sanctify means to cleanse and set apart for religious use or God’s use. How can we sanctify ourselves?

A man of God said we can sanctify ourselves by:
– Spending time studying the word
– Through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives
– By fellowshipping with other believer’s

As we spend time with God in prayer and In His word, His nature or Spirit permeates (transforms us) causing us to change without realizing it.

If we want God to use us then as the verse from Joshua 3:5 says
we have to sanctify ourselves, then God can use us greatly

1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord

This verse above from the new testament should be our prayer always so that God can transform us completely and use us to His glory

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Spend a lot of time studying the word, praying and interacting or fellowshipping with other believer’s.

Prayer

Dear Lord, transform me and make me fit to do your work.
