Show us thy glory once more
Exodus 33:18
And He said, I beseech thee, shew ( show) me thy glory.

The glory of God is the beauty of His Spirit. It is not aesthetic beauty or material beauty. It is beauty that emanates from His character and who He is.

Psalm 29:2 and Psalmv96:9 says

Worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness and in the splendor of His holiness

In the verse above, Moses asks God to show him His glory.

No one sees the glory of God and remains the same. When the disciples saw God’s glory on the mount of transfiguration , they did want to leave His presence. They wanted to stay there forever.( Mark 9:5)

We need to seek the face of God to show us His glory to stimulate in us the desire to do whatever it takes to stay in His presence.

Moses saw the glory of God and this made him an exceptional leader. Peter, James and John saw God’s glory and this made them exceptional disciples among the twelve.

Pray for God to show you His glory.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as the Spirit of the Lord

This verse from the new testament says as we interact with the Lord through prayer and study of His word ( not stated but implied) we are changed into the same image from glory to glory.

Show us thy glory once more Lord.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. As the body of Christ, the church let us pray to see the glory of God so we can help transform the rest of the world.
