Show us thy glory Lord
Exodus 33:18-23
Moses said, show me thy glory. And He said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee,……And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, I will put thee in a Clift of the rock and cover thee with my hand whilst I pass by:……..

Glory can be defined as high renown or honour gained by notable achievements. The glory of God is made known through His miracles and great power as well as His great love for mankind.

When you say “show us thy glory” then you are pleading with God to demonstrate His power in your life in a special way. Probably, to deliver you from evil or bondage.

In the passage above, Moses asked God to show Him His glory ( He wanted to see God)but God’s response indicates that His glory is so awesome humans cannot comprehend ( ..I will put you in a Clift of a rock and cover thee with my hand whilst I pass by..)

We serve an Awesome God and we should spend time frequently just worshipping Him and adoring His Holy name.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

This verse from the new testament says not only do we have to request God’s glory but we also have to do good works to glorify His name.

We have to let the world know that we serve a great God. Be kind and generous to your neighbor, have compassion on the needy and love your neighbor as yourself.

However, always let the world know that it is the grace, love and power of
God that enables you to do all these things.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Give all the credit to God when people enquire about your success. This will glorify His name and cause to manifest His glory in your life.

Show us thy glory once more.
