Sing praises to God
Psalm 96:1-3
Sing unto the Lord a new song:sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless His Holy Name,show forth His salvation day to day……
God can do all things but there are two major things He cannot do. Praise or worship Himself.
He expects us to sing praises and worship Him
Psalm 22:3 says
But thou art holy, Oh thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
God inhabits the praises of His people. Some bible translations replace “inhabit” with the word “enthroned”. This implies that God loves to receive our praise.
Let us sing praises to God on a daily basis it shows that we know He is worthy to receive our praise and it also shows our appreciation for the many blessings He showers on us.
Romans 15:9
And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name
This verse from the new testament also emphasizes that praising God is important.
