Psalm 81:1
Sing unto God, our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob

There are several other verses in the bible apart from the one above say”Sing unto the Lord” You do not need an excellent voice or expertise in singing to sing to the Lord. Just sing.

It is important to sing to the Lord because:
-Singing helps us express our gratitude to God ( 2 Corinthians 2:14)
– Singing helps us praise and worship God ( Psalm 100:4-5)
– Singing helps us create an atmosphere worthy for the Lord to inhabit (Psalm 22:3)
-Singing helps lift our countenance when we are sad. Psalm 43:5 Says why so downcast oh my soul put your trust in God and praise His holy name.

Make singing part of your morning devotion and your reflections on the day at night

Ephesians 5:19
Speaking to yourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord

Singing is also very important in congregational worship or group worship. There are Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs that can enrich our worship.

Make a conscious effort to make singing unto the Lord a habit, that is, something you do frequently.

1. Memorize as many songs of praise, thanksgiving and worship. It will enrich your relationship with God.
