Soldiers of the cross
Ecclesiastes 9:11
The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…..but time and chance happeneth to them all

Christians are called soldiers because we are in a spiritual battle, that requires the strength of God’s Spirit, the inspiration of God’s word and the accountability of God’s people.

Ephesians 6:10 says
For we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers and the rulers …..

As soldiers of the cross:
– We need to realize that the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong…..but time and chance happeneth to them all ( accidents happen to them all)
-We need strength and power from God ( Philippians 4:13)
– We need direction from God (Psalm 119:133 , Proverbs 3:5-6)
,- We need to put on on our spiritual armour ( Ephesians 6:10-18)
-We need to work together as one church.

2 Timothy 2:1
Endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ…

According to the verse above another mark of a good soldier is the ability to endure.

Learn to have a positive attitude in the face of suffering and temptation. It increases your faith and makes you a better person.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Take note of what makes you a good soldier and pray for grace and strength to manifest these characteristics.
