Speak to me Lord
Jeremiah 33:3
Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.

Everyone wants to hear from God and know what His plan or will concerning us. The verse above says “Call unto me and I will answer…”. Calling on the Lord involves praying and asking God to speak to you concerning a challenge, problem, project or your ministry (the work of God in an area you are convinced God is leading you eg. Preaching the word, singing to win souls, writing christian articles, encouraging the youth etc.). The Prophet Jeremiah says when you call unto the Lord, He will show you great and mighty things you do not know. God does this by giving you ideas and directions on what you want to do.

Matthew 10:19-20
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Some of us are scared about taking preaching appointments or winning souls because we do not know what to say. Like this verse says when you stand before the people you are to speak to, whisper a prayer and ask God to show you what to say and He will direct you.
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Before you preach the word to anyone, pray and plan on the verses of scripture to use.
2. When you are put before your audience, pray once again and allow God direct you to deliver what you have planned to say.
3. When you get an impromptu appointment to preach, pray and share your quiet time or any other thing God lays on your heart.

Prayer
Faithful God, thank you for your love and mercy. Help me to learn to be attentive to your directions. Amen.
