The church (People of God) must pray
Esther 4:16
God gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me,……

Life is difficult. On earth we face situations like, death, sin, sickness etc. Sometimes we are at a loss for words on how to explain calamity when we think about God’s goodness and sovereignty.

That is why we need to pray together as a church or have corporate prayers. When we pray together:
– We encourage and build one another to pray
– We build in each other the desire to cultivate the habit of praying constantly even on our own
-We move the heart of God.

In the bible there are stories about how God moved mightily , when the people of God prayed in both the old and new testament.

The verse above is an example of how God delivered the people of Israel from Haman’s plot to kill them all using Queen Esther.

God can help the church survive the hardships associated with the end times without compromising our faith when we pray earnestly ( praying with a genuine desire to do what is right in the sight of God)

Acts 12:5
Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

This verse from the new testament is another example of how God delivered Peter from imprisonment and death when the people of God prayed.

The church needs to pray and strategize for the end times
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Encourage yourselves as youth to pray together
2. Organize the church to pray. We can organize Something like a prayer time on zoom where people can login in from all over the world to pray , every hour for 2-3 days non-stop.

Meditate on the words of this hymn

The church is one foundation
Is Jesus Christ the Lord
She is His new creation
By water and the word
From heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride
With His own blood He bought her
And for her life He died.
