The counsel of the Lord will stand forever
Psalm 33:11
The counsel of the Lord standeth forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

The counsel of the Lord is God’s mind or advice on a particular situation. You can determine this through:
-Visions and revelations from the Lord
-Reading the bible
-Seeking advice from a minister or man of God.

The verse above says the counsel of the Lord stands forever from generations to generations.

For instance Proverbs 3:5-6 says we should trust in the Lord with all our heart. We should lean on our own understanding. In all our ways we should acknowledge Him, and He will direct our path. (paraphrased). This is found in the old testament.

In the new testament, Matthew 6:33 says we should seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all that we need would be provided(He will direct our path) This verse has almost the same message as the one in Proverbs. Reinforcing that the counsel of the Lord has been passed from generation to generation.

Hebrews 6:17
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, çonfirmed it by an oath .

Immutability of His counsel means, the counsel of the Lord is unchangeable it remains the same forever.

This verse from Hebrews has almost the same message as the one above from the Psalms.

Seek the counsel of God for every situation, you cannot go wrong when you rely on the counsel of the Lord
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Whenever you need good advice on a situation or challenge, turn to the word of God.

Prayer
Let this be your confession

Standing on the promises that cannot fail
Through eternal ages while the billows roll
By the living word of God
I shall prevail
Standing on the promises of God
Amen
