The Lord delivers
Deuteronomy 33:27
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

One of the dictionary definitions of deliver is to save from danger.

The verse above says, the Lord will thrust (push forcibly) out the enemy from before. This implies that the enemy will not move away easily, He has to be forced out.

The Lord has the ability to push out whatever power may be tormenting you and destroy it completely.

Matthew 17:20-21
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as small as a mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth out but by prayer and fasting.

In Matthew 17:14-21, there is an account of a story where Jesus directs His disciples to cast out a demon. They were unable to do it.

Jesus explains that they were unable to do it because of unbelief. Furthermore, they needed to fast and pray.

Demons are spirits that need human bodies to operate. It is therefore difficult to cast them out.

But thank God, that the work Jesus did on the cross took care of all these demons as well.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. If you need deliverance, be ready to fast and pray with the prayer and deliverance team in your church and follow all their directions.
2. Like a songwriter said
We are in a fixed fight with the enemy. No matter how he roars and tries to intimidate you.
3. Remember you already won because Jesus took care of everything on the cross.

Mighty Jehovah, God Almighty, you revive our souls and set us free. Thank for the victory you already won for us. Amen.
