Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is He which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire …..

We used to sing this song in school:
The Lord is our consuming fire
The Lord is our consuming fire
Heaven and earth shall pass away
The Lord is fire
Satan don’t you hear the warning
The Lord is fire

The verse and song above are supposed to calm our fears about attacks from the evil one.

God is a consuming fire and can destroy all the evil attacks planned against us.

Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire

The verse above also confirms that, God is a consuming fire. There is no need to fret or worrying because God has everything under control. A songwriter said:
He’s got the whole world in His hands …….
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Turn everything to God in prayer.

Prayer

Cast your burdens unto Jesus
For He cares for you
Take your troubles to king Jesus
There is rest for you
If you knew Him better
You will praise Him louder
You will lift Him higher
Higher , higher
Higher , lift King Jesus higher.
