Daily Word

The Lord redeems
Job 33:28
He hath redeemed my soul from going into the pit, And my life shall behold the light

To redeem is to compensate for the faults of others or save from sin.

In the verse above, Job, the symbol of suffering in the bible apart from Jesus, was in pain physically because of his sores and he was in pain mentally because of his great loss.

Eventually God redeemed him from his suffering and restored to him all that he had lost.

Job 42:12 says

In the same way, no matter the challenges and obstacles we encounter God can and will redeem us if we put our trust in Him.

Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

This verse from the new testament reminds us that Jesus redeemed us with His blood and forgave us all our sins.

He reconciled us to God and gave us eternal life when we accept the gift of salvation. Be sure to accept the gift of salvation if you have not done so already.
God be with you
