The Lord will be your sun and shield
Psalm 84:11
For the Lord is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Seeing God as your sun and shield means you will allow the Lord to guide and direct you from darkness to light.

The verse above says for those who regard God as their sun and shield, He will not withhold any good thing from them.

And a song and a scripture verse ( Psalm 18:31) says that

Who is God besides our God
And who is a rock besides our God
A fortress and a shield, a tower of deliverance is He
To all who trust in Him.

We need not worry or fret in life because the Lord is our sun and shield, a mighty fortress that keeps us safe from all harm.

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you will have peace. In the world ye will have tribulations but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

This verse from the new testament warns us that we will have trouble ( tribulation) but because Jesus has already overcome the world, we will also overcome our challenges.

1. Focus on God and fulfill your ministry as an ambassador of Christ

Let this song be your prayer and confession

Shield me Lord and comfort me
You build a wall of fire around me
Without you Lord
I am nothing
I need your grace and power
To go on.

If only your spirit’s eye could be opened
To see what goes on and on around us
You’ll lift your voices, cry out loud and sing

Shield me Lord…..
