The Lord will bless us
Psalm 115:12
The Lord hath been merciful to us: He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.

Blessing can be defined as God’s favor and protection. In the verse above the Psalmist assures us of God’s blessing.

In Numbers 6:24 says
God bless thee and keep thee. It means God should shower us with favor and His protection.

This verse is also part of the blessings pronounced by most ministers over the Congregation, after Sunday, church service.

Matthew 5:1-16 provides us with categories of people who receive God’s blessing:
– Those who are merciful
– Those who are pure in heart
– Those who mourn
– Those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness etc

James 1:25
But whosoever looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word, this man shall be blessed.

Another category of people who are blessed is given in the verse above from the new testament. Those who obey the word or doers of the word.

1. Study the bible and do what it says and you will be blessed.

There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of God
There shall be seasons refreshing sent from the saviour above us
