Daily Word

The Lord will restore
Hosea 6:1
Come let us return unto the Lord: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up

To restore is to return something or someone to the original state. In the verse above, we are being encouraged that no matter what happens to us, God can restore us to our original state.

This is confirmed by the story of Job in the old testament. After Job’s great suffering and loss God healed Him completely and restored all His wealth and possessions.

Job 42:10 says
And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for His friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before

Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also, be tempted

Another scenario of the Lord’s restoration can be seen when christian brethren help a brother or sister who falls into sin or has a fault to be restored to the faith.

With God there is no one who is beyond redemption or restoration. Come to Him just as you are.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Submit yourself unto the Lord, resist the devil and he will flee from you.(James 4:7)

Prayer
Think about the words of this hymn

Just as I am
Without one plea
But that thy blood
Was shed for me
And that blood bids me
Come to thee
Oh lamb of God
I come, I come
Amen
