The name of the Lord is a strong tower
Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run into it and are safe.

Everyone wants to be safe and secure. The increase in violence and crime all around us makes us vulnerable.

The verse above says that the name of the Lord is like a strong tower. A tower is a sort of bullet proof building that protected people in the time of war years ago.

When you call on the name of the Lord you are fully protected from whatever challenge or obstacle you face. Nothing can harm you.

Philippians 2:9-10
Wherefore God also hath exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth.

In the verse above we are assured of the power in the name of the Lord. The bible says the name of Jesus has been exalted above all other names. It is above all power in heaven, on earth and under the earth. We serve a mighty God, let’s glorify Him in all we do

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Call on the name of the Lord whenever you find yourself in trouble. He will come and save you.

The name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower
The name of the Lord is a fortress for my soul
The name of the Lord is the pillar that I can lean on
The righteous run into the name of the Lord. Amen
