There are rewards for soul winners

Psalm 19:10-11

More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping them there is great reward.

In the verse above, the Psalmist is emphasizing the importance of the word of God. He also says keeping the word of God or obeying scripture has great reward.

The bible clearly states in Matthew 28:19-20 that all christians should go out and preach the message of salvation. This confirms that soul winning yields great reward because you are obey God’s command.

Rewards can come in the form of blessings of healing, deliverance, great wealth, social and political influence and finally the gift of eternal life.

James 5:20

Let them know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

The Apostle James also brings out another dimension of the rewards we receive for soul winning.

It will cover a multitude of sins. Your sins will be forgiven and you will be justified, made to look like you never committed any of those sins. Just as if you had no sin.

How can I apply the word to my life?

1. The rewards mentioned are only a few of what God will give. There are countless blessings God can bestow on us. He knows us and knows what we need and He will bless us along those lines.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of another week. Help me obey your word at all times. Amen.
