There is hope for the future

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I am a central banker by profession. I know the economy of whole world is in chaos because of the negative effects of COVID’19 pandemic.

It is easy to panic because of what we hear but in the verse above the Prophet Jeremiah assures us that God has plans for our welfare in spite of the chaos around us. There is no need to fear, put your trust in God.

2Corinthians 4:17-18
For our light affliction, which is for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

What we hear and feel now because of job losses and insufficient medical facilities etc is temporal. Let us focus on the things that are unseen like reading the bible, exercising our faith and praying for a better future.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. As you read the bible daily, pray for the grace strength to obey what it says.

Loving Father, thank you for giving us a better future. Help me to believe this completely without any doubt.
