Thy will be done
2 Samuel 10:12
Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the Lord do what seemeth Him good.

As human beings, we prefer to have all our wishes granted by God because we think we know what is good for us. This is the wrong attitude. The best thing to in every situation is to pray for the will of God to be done or for God to do what seems good to Him as the verse above says.

The will of God is best for us in every situation because
– God knows us better because He created us. (Genesis 1:27)
– He can see into the future and knows what is best for us now in order to meet our future needs(Jeremiah 29:11)

Acts 21:14
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

The disciples tried to prevent Paul from traveling to Rome because he would be killed. However, Paul was ready to face anything for Christ. The disciples, therefore, had to pray for the will of God to be done.
Always remember that the will of God is best for you in every situation.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Each morning pray for the will of God to be done in your life
2. When you need to take an important decision, search the word concerning your situation and pray for the will of God to be done.

Prayer
Dear God, you are great and greatly to be praised. Help us to understand that your will for a situation is best for us at all times. Amen
