Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, He shall direct thy paths.

What does it mean to say trust in the Lord with all your heart as the passage above says? I will like to explain with this illustration .

It is like a child putting his hand in the hand of his father or mother. The child goes wherever he is led and does whatever his parent does. He has no doubts, he believes he is safe no matter whatever happens around him because he trusts with all his heart.

A perfect illustration of trusting the Lord with all our heart, can be found in Psalm 23. The Lord is described as a good shepherd. We should trust him to lead us to the still water and green pasture where we can receive all the nourishment we need for our bodies. Even when we are in deep trouble, His rod and staff will comfort us. His goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives if we dwell in His temple or house always.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.

When you trust in the Lord with all your heart, you do not worry or fret because God will take care of you .

1. Stop fretting and worrying, believe that God can handle any situation or problem you face.
