Walk in the light
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

To walk in the light is a common biblical metaphor often taken to mean acting correctly or living openly with no false pretenses.

The verse above implies that we already have what it takes to live right according to the principles of the bible.

In Matthew 5:16 the bible says

Let your life so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven ( paraphrased)

This verse indicates that walking in the light not only requires that we live according to God’s principles ( live right) but we do good works as well.

Good works includes sharing your possessions not only with christians but with the needy as well. Share your food, clothes, money, time, intelligence etc . with others.

Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden, neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel.

This verse from the new testament reminds us that we are the light of the world. Christians are to show the rest of the world how to live right, share our possessions and generally demonstrate how to love our neighbor as ourselves as Jesus directed

1. Seek to do what is right according to the bible at all times.
