We are heirs of the Father
Psalm 16:5
The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintaineth my lot.

An heir is someone who is entitled to a family’s property legally. As the verse above says,we are heirs of the Father means we have rights to God’s property when we are born again and become His children. What does this mean?

It means that;
– God is for us and if God be for us who can be against us? ( Romans 8:31)
-We have eternal life ( John 3:16)
– We will receive the crown of life if we are faithful to the end (Revelations 2:10)
-All things will work for our good(Romans 8:28)
-We will spend eternity with God in heaven (Revelations 21:1-4)

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ,; if so be we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together

This verse from the new testament gives another scenario of being heirs with Christ which is we suffer with Him and therefore we will share His glory as well
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Hold fast to the profession of your faith as a christian
2 Obey God’s commands and live to please Him
