We are heirs of the Father
Psalm 37:11
But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

An heir is one that has the legal right to possess an inheritance. Every family has its heir.

The verse above says the meek or humble in spirit will inherit the earth . This is confirmed in Matthew 5:5. It says:

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

As christians, there are three reasons why we are heirs of the Father:
,- We are children of God
– We have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus
– We are joint- heirs with Christ.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

This verse from the new testament also says we are joint- heirs with Christ. If we partake or share in Christ ‘s suffering then we will also share in His glory.

Therefore do not fear or get worried when you are persecuted or ridiculed for sharing the word of God with others
God be with you.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Delight in doing the work of God.
