What a friend we have in Jesus
Isaiah 41:8
But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.

A friend is someone with whom you have a bond of mutual affection. In the bible one of the greatest friendship we read about is that of David and Jonathan.

In the verse above, Abraham is referred to as the friend of God. This means they had a bond of mutual affection
– He was very close to God. He could chat with God. This is confirmed by his plea to God not to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah.

They talked until God decided to spare his nephew Lot and his family.

The bible says in Proverbs 18:24 that
A friend sticks closer than a brother.

Therefore we all need friends:
– Who are younger than us to keep us informed about current developments in education, lifestyle, health etc.
– Who are within our age group or generation to help us connect to our past , how we grew up at home, in school etc.
– Who are older to prepare us for the future.

John 15:15
Henceforth, I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth:……

This verse from the new testament confirms that Jesus is our friend or is a friend to all Christians.

We have talk to Him:
– Daily through prayer to place our requests and ask for His help
– Spend time in His presence daily worshipping and adoring Him to get closer to Him and renew our strength.
-Cultivate the habit of praying everywhere for everything we need. It is not necessary to pray aloud always, sometimes you have to whisper the prayer etc.

Trust in God and do the right always.
