What do you value most? [SEPTEMBER 11,2021]

Daily Word

What do you value most?
Proverbs 24:11-12
Rescue those being taken off to death, and save those stumbling toward slaughter. If you say, Look we did’nt know about it. The one who weighs hearts-does’nt He understand? The one who protects life- He knows…….

When you value something, you spend a lot of time, money/resources and energy trying to maintain it.

Psalm 20:7 says
…….some trust in horses, some trust in chariots but we trust in the name of the Lord our God…..

This means some people value their earthly treasure above all else but the Psalmist values the Lord above any other thing.

If you value the Lord above all else then you will love to spend time with Him and obey His commands.

The Lord’s greatest desire is for all men to be saved. His last command in Matthew 28:19-20 ( the Great Commission) is for His disciples and all Christians to go to all nations and all people to preach His word and save souls.

This should be your utmost desire as well. Do all you can, all the time , to win as many souls as possible.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Pray for the Lord to open your mind and understanding to be able to receive the things of the Spirit.

Like the verse above says, the natural man or man who has not accepted Christ cannot receive the things of the Spirit .

Place your trust in the Lord or value the things of the Spirit most.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Make sure you are born again so you can understand or receive the things of the Spirit like faith, soul winning, becoming righteousness etc.
2. Place all your confidence, your resources and energy into serving God faithfully.

Prayer
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me
All His wonderous compassion and purity
Oh thou Spirit Divine
All my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus’
Be seen in me. Amen
