What is your expectation?
Isaiah 60:1
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee

An expectation is something you desire and look forward to achieve or obtain. What is your expectation for this Christmas season?

The verse above says we should; Arise, shine for our light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us.

The birth of the Lord took place long ago, He is already with us through the Holy Spirit who comes to live in us when we are born again in Christ.

Letting our light shine requires that we engage in good works like Matthew 5:16 says.

Therefore, this Christmas season we should not only expect gifts but give gifts as well. We should not only eat, drink and make merry but we should also remember to thank God for the previous gift of His Son Jesus who brought us salvation and deliverance from bondage and the hope of eternal life

Luke 1:32-33
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest,: and the Lord shall give unto Him the throne of his father David. And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end

This verse from the book of Luke in the new testament tells us about how great Jesus would be or is

Let us learn to praise, worship and thank Him as He deserves.

1. As you shop for Christmas, remember to set aside a thanks offering for the Lord.
