Daily Word 🇬🇭

What steps should I take?
Isaiah 48:17
I am God, your God, who teaches you how to live right and well. I show you where to go.

There are times in life when you have to take a decision and there are no clear cut answers in the bible. What do you do?

In the verse above, God assures us that He is our God ( the supreme being who oversees and controls our lives). He will show us where to go.

Joshua 1:7
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

The verse above gives directions on what to do:
– First of all you must be strong and courageous because some of the things God might ask you to do may be opposed by many.
– Second, study all the laws or commands of God in the bible, you will find bits and pieces of information from several laws that will show you what to do
– Follow the directions you obtain from the commands, do not try to modify it to suit yourself

For example if you need direction on whether to go into full time ministry and stay single:
-The Apostle Paul decided to stay single because to him marriage might hinder his dedication to God
– But then the Apostle Paul reminds those who are considering to stay single that they might burn with “desire”. Can they handle it?
– It will be wrong and displeasing to God to stay single while you serve Him and fornicate or commit adultery.
These directions can be found in (1 Corinthians 7:1-14)

1 Peter 2:21
For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.

This verse from the new testament reminds us that Jesus gave us an example through how He lived His life here on earth.

Study the life of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and model your life after His.
God be with you

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Learn to study the word and wait on God through prayer to show you what to do.

Prayer
Let this song be your prayer

What shall I do?
What steps should I take?
What moves should I make?
O Lord, what shall I do?

I’m going to wait
For an answer from you
I have nothing to lose
Oh Lord I’m going to wait

I know you’ll come through
With a blessing for me
Please Lord set my soul free
I know you’ll come through.

Amen
