Wrapped up in the word
Psalm 119:114
To thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
To be wrapped up in the word is to be directed and controlled by the commands of God in His word, the bible, at all times.
Psalm 129:105 says
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The bible also says that:
Thy word have I kept in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.(Psalm 119:11)
These three verses from Psalm 119 fully describe, what being wrapped in the word means.
To be wrapped up in the word means:
– To hope in the Lord (Psalm 119:114)
-To allow the word to guide and direct you (Psalm 119:105)
– To hide the word in your heart so you know what not to do and what to do ( Psalm 119:11)
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not be afraid, rightly dividing the word of truth.
John 1:1-4; describes Jesus Himself as the word. In other words to be wrapped up in the word is to be wrapped up in Jesus.
Study the word of God thoroughly so you know what to apply in your time of need as the verse from 2 Timothy says.
Surrender your life to the Lord and allow Him to lead you.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Accept the gift of salvation and allow the Lord to lead you
Prayer
Meditate on the words of this song
I am wrapped up
Tied up
Bundled up all in Him
I am wrapped up
Tied up
Bundled up all in Him
I am wrapped up
Tied up
Bundled up all in Jesus
I am wrapped up
Tied up
Bundled up all in Him
Amen
