You are a winner in Christ
Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all

The phrase ” time and chance happeneth to them all” means accidents or challenges can prevent you from achieving the best from your efforts.

It is not your speed that makes you win a race, or your strength that makes you win a battle or your skill and knowledge that makes you earn a living it is the grace or unmerited favor of the Lord on your life. You are a winner in Christ.

The bible says the horse is prepared for battle but safety is of the Lord ( Proverbs21:31). It also says, promotion comes not from the east nor the west but from the Lord (Psalm 75:6-7)

You are a winner because you are born again in Christ

1 Corinthians 9:24
Know ye not that they which run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain (win).

The grace of God upon our lives makes us winners but we also have a part to play. We have to to do everything we do with all our might as unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:23) We must run to obtain.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Determine in your heart to be a winner in life and pray for grace and strength to achieve this aim.
