You cannot fail in your duty as an ambassador of Christ [January 1,2023 ]
You cannot fail in your duty as an ambassador of Christ [January 1,2023 ]
You cannot fail in your duty as an ambassador of Christ
Psalm 119:133
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
In the verse above, the Psalmist’s greatest desire is to have God “order his steps” or guide and direct him so that “iniquity” or sin will not have dominion in his life. Why?
He knows that without the Lord’s help he will move away from God’s plan or purpose for his life.
Every christian has the duty or assignment to go to all nations preach the word, win souls and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)
We cannot fail in this assignment, because if we fail, souls will perish.
John 3:16 says
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
A soul that is not saved will perish eternally in hell’s fire with the devil and his hosts of fallen angels. (Revelations 20:7-15)
2 Corinthians 5:20
Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ as though God Himself pleads with us…
This verse from the new testament, reminds us that we are ambassadors for Christ or God’s representatives here on earth and we have a mission to accomplish.
Pray for grace and strength to fulfill your mission.
God be with you
How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Ask God through prayer to help you fulfill your mission.
Prayer
Think about the words of this hymn
Rescue the perishing
Care for the dying
Snatch them in pity
From sin and the grave
Weep o’er the erring
one
Lift up the fallen
Tell the poor wanderer
A Savior has died
Rescue the perishing
Care for the dying
Jesus is merciful
Jesus will save
Amen
