You have a charge to keep
Leviticus 8:35

Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation day and night,seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord…

There is a hymn that says:
A charge to keep I have
A God to glorify
A never dying soul to save
And fit it for the sky

According to the hymn above Christians or believers have two major tasks to accomplish:
– To glorify God in all we do
– To ensure that our souls are saved and fit for heaven.

These things should be our major pre-occupation

2Timothy 4:5
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry

The verse above directs us on how to fulfill our major mission. We should endure afflictions or hardships and do the work of an evangelist (direct all our efforts to winning souls).

Pray for grace to accomplish these tasks.

How can I apply the word to my life?
1. Ensure you are born again in christ and pray for grace and strength to maintain your salvation.
2. Seize every opportunity you get to win souls.
